Installation Guide - Solaris Mobile Version

This section describes how to install Denbun (Solaris version).
This explanation assumes that the server OS is a Solaris and the web server is using Apache Server.
Please refer to the system requirements on the product web site for Linux distribution supported.
To uninstall Denbun, please refer this guide.

Denbun may now be installed.
Copy the file you downloaded to the web server and install it.
The following installation process is assuming that the executable directory is "/var/apache/cg-bin/dnmwml".

1. Extract archive

Use a super user for the process.
Copy the setup file to the installation directory.
It assumes that the installation directory is "/var/apache/cgi-bin" and setup file name is dnwmlxxx.tar.gz.

$ su
Password:
# cp dnwmlxxx.tar.Z /var/apache/cgi-bin/
# cd /var/apache/cgi-bin/
#

Expand the file using tar command.

# uncompress dnwmlxxx.tar.Z
# tar xvf dnwmlxxx.tar

Directory "dnmwml" will be created and the following directories and files will be extracted.

# ls dnmwml
INSTMSOL          dnmwml.cgi        dnwmllocal
LICENSE           dnmwmlcp          dnwmlmpage
README            dnmwmlsetmid.cgi  dnwmlpath

Please note that you should read LICENSE and README file.

2. Change owner

If the "User ID" and "Group ID" of the user who provides HTTP service are not the default settings, change them.

Change the owner of the directory "dnmwml" that Denbun for Mobile is installed.
If Denbun for Mobile is installed in "/var/apache/cgi-bin/dnmwml", set "User ID" and "Group ID" of the directory to the user who provides HTTP service
(It assumes that both "User ID" and "Group ID" is "nobody").

# chown -R nobody:nobody dnmwml
#

3. Move directory

Move the extracted directory.
If Denbun (Standard) is installed in "/var/apache/cgi-bin/dnwml", move "dnwmllocal" from "dnmwml" to "/var/apache/cgi-bin/dnwml".

# mv dnmwml/dnwmllocal/ja/* dnwml/dnwmllocal/ja/

4. Edit dnwmlpath (* this may not be necessary)

If you installed Denbun other than default directory, edit the file.

You can find the file "dnwmlpath" in the installed directory.
Edit "dnwmlpath" using a text editor such as vi and specify the path where Denbun (Standard) is installed.
For example, Denbun for Mobile is installed in "/var/apache/cgi-bin/dnmwml" and Denbun (Standard) is installed in "/var/apache/cgi-bin/dnwml", then specify "/var/apache/cgi-bin/dnwml" in the file "dnwmlpath".

# vi /var/apache/cgi-bin/dnmwml/dnwmlpath

5. Finished

The installation of Denbun for Mobile completed.

6. Access to Denbun Mobile

After the installation, access to the Denbun.
Access URL below from your mobile device.

http://(IP address of server or server name)/cgi-bin/dnmwml/dnmwml.cgi?


1. Uninstallation

The following installation process is assuming that the executable directory is "/var/apache/cg-bin/dnmwml" and Denbun for Mobile is installed there.

1. Remove directories

Remove the directories that the files for Denbun for Mobile are stored.

# rm -rf /var/apache/cgi-bin/dnmwml/
# rm -f /var/apache/cgi-bin/dnwml/dnwmllocal/ja/wmlmob
# rm -f /var/apache/cgi-bin/dnwml/dnwmllocal/ja/message.mobile

2. Finished

The uninstallation of Denbun for Mobile completed.
